FSL Gives Back: Cradles to Crayons’ Giving Factory

It’s More Than a Cause, It’s a Kid

At Full Sail Logistics we’re dedicated to service in more ways than one. One of our core values is providing service to our communities as well as our clients. We’ve spent time at food banks, toy drives, no-cost groceries, and this holiday season we continued our efforts to give back by doing a shift at Cradles to Crayons in their Giving Factory.

Cradles to Crayons is a national non-profit organization with a mission to provide “children from birth through age 12, living in homeless or low-income situations, with the essential items they need to thrive – at home, at school and at play.” With locations in Boston, Philadelphia, and Chicago, they are committed to combating child poverty nationwide through clothing, supplies, and financial donations. 

On Wednesday our team had the great privilege to spend a couple hours in Cradles to Crayons’ Giving Factory. We sorted clothing donations by item and size. Our task was one small but important act in a busy warehouse of cleaning, sorting, organizing, and packaging staff and volunteers. It was incredible to see what it takes to be able to accomplish Cradles to Crayons’ mission. It takes a ton of people’s hard work to make the impact they do, and we’re so proud to have been a part of it.

In just a 2-hour shift, all us volunteers, in our combined efforts, were able to help 395 kids! Little-by-little, shift-by-shift, volunteers like us can make a difference in our community. For this holiday season and beyond, we hope to inspire others to give back a bit of their time to help their community.
