FLF is a food justice and farmer advocacy organization that believes good food should be for all people and that farmers deserve living wages.
This week is National Volunteer Week (April 20-26). It is time dedicated to thanking those who work in service to the community. It’s also the perfect opportunity to volunteer yourself. So, we kicked off the week with a volunteer opportunity.
This Sunday, April 20th, we had a shift with FrontLine Farming at their No Cost Grocery. The program’s mission is to provide free, organic groceries and specialty items to the public. Our shift responsibilities included unpacking in-kind donations from various grocery stores, organizing food items, and assisting shoppers. On such a beautiful day, it was great to help folks access healthy food items at no cost.
FrontLine Farming knows the value of this access, so they have their No Cost Grocery every Sunday. We appreciate them letting us aid in their efforts this past Sunday. All of us at FSL wish them success in their mission to cultivate local food systems on the Front Range of Colorado.

At FSL, part of dedication to service includes serving our communities directly. If you want to learn more about our previous volunteer outings, see more from our blog, including:
