We’ve just returned from attending the 2025 PFL/SCOPE Conference in Hanover, MD. This conference, put on by UniPro Foodservice, encourages connections between food distributors and logistics and transportation partners.
At the conference, we learned about the various transportation needs of those in the food distributing industry directly from the source. There was an emphasis on standard FTL moves via van and reefer, but there is also a great need for more niche moves, such as refrigerated LTL.
In general, food shipping is a nuanced industry with the need for solutions as unique as the distributor themself. That’s why it takes a relationship-based logistics partner like FSL to provide the best logistics and transportation solutions. Where relationships thrive between client and broker, so do supply chain efficiencies and transportation solutions. And it is conferences like PFL/SCOPE that set food distributors and 3PLs on the best path to those ideal relationships.
We are so grateful for the time we spent at 2025 PFL/SCOPE to strengthen current client relationships and see to the beginning of others. We can’t wait to continue this fostering of relationships between FSL and food shippers and distributors with Food Shippers of America Conference 2025, March 2-4, in Palm Desert, CA.
