Strong relationships benefit every business in every industry. With a market vulnerable to freight theft schemes, it is now more important than ever to create and rely on our strong relationships with our carriers.
Along with an improved vetting process for our carrier base, we continue to prioritize already onboarded carriers when booking loads. No matter the load, we will use the carrier that we have an established relationship with if they are available.
And, the stronger the relationship with a carrier, the safer the freight is. That is, above all, the biggest priority when moving a load.
How Carrier Relationships = Safer Freight:
- Quality Carrier Communication
- With established carriers in our network, we have several points of contact, so there is always someone to provide updates on a given load.
- Visibility during a Route
- We vet our established carriers extensively, including on their adherence to our tracking requirements. This allows our clients to have complete visibility to their freight.
- Ease of Scheduling and Booking
- Consistent carriers means drivers who are willing to cover loads often and easily, and know how best to work within a route’s schedule. And, when scheduling or booking encounters a snafu, they are much more understanding and cooperative.
- Awareness of Safety Requirements
- If freight requires specific securement or safety regulations, carriers having moved the same or similar loads will secure loads best of all. If they have not, established carriers are patient and diligent in learning.
- Knowledgeable Drivers
- A driver that has been to a shipper/receiver before will make it easier for us, our clients, and our warehouses to load and offload freight.
- Minimizes Issues and Questions
- Carriers both us and our clients have worked with means less frequency of issues and questions. And, if there are any, they are resolved more quickly.
Full Sail Logistics is determined to make our clients’ supply chain easier. That means preventing them from worrying about the integrity of their freight. A big factor in that is carrier selection. Strong relationships with our carriers makes selection extremely easy. And where things are easy for us, they are easy for our clients as well.
