National Truck Driver Appreciation Week is this week, September 14th-20th. At FSL, we know we wouldn’t be anywhere without the hard work and dedication of our carrier capacity, especially our drivers.
We want to shout out all the reasons why we appreciate our drivers:
Reliability
Through our extensive carrier capacity, we have a wide selection of drivers at our fingertips. We also understand the value of strong carrier relationships in achieving success, so we prioritize booking relationship-carriers whenever possible. With newly onboarded carriers, they must complete rigorous carrier vetting. This ensures both relationship-carriers and newly-onboarded carriers are trusted and reliable.
Timely Pick-Ups and Deliveries
Our drivers understand the importance of being timely with all shipments. We pride ourselves in our on-time pick and delivery percentages of over 98%, which is all thanks to the hard work of our drivers.
Compliance with Tracking Requirements
Tracking and transparency are top priorities for our clients, so they are top priorities for us. We impress upon our drivers the need for 100% tracking, and they are quick to comply. This ensures both us and our clients have complete visibility on all shipments all the time.
Proactive Communication
It is also important to plan for issues that can arise on any shipment, whether it be due weather, traffic, or mechanical problems. Along with our 100% tracking, our drivers know to communicate early and often throughout a shipment’s duration. It makes for a satisfactory route for all those involved.
Ensuring Freight Safety
Most loads have requirements passed on from our clients, but FSL and our drivers also plan for other means of freight safety. Our drivers are kept up-to-date on best practices for load securement and send photos of their loads before leaving the shipper. This allows all parties to approve the state of the freight before heading out for delivery. All this to make sure each load arrives safely.
